Mark began his career at Deloitte & Touche in 2007 in the audit practice, performing private and public attestation services for clients in a variety of industries, emphasizing in the manufacturing, and aerospace and defense sectors. He served on a multitude of engagements, including Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Los Angeles Dodgers, Tutor Perini, US Auto Parts, where he assisted and led in executing all phases of the audit process (planning, substantive testing, financial analyses and reviews, and compilation of financial statements).
In 2011, Mark began work at Alvarez & Marsal in the transaction advisory practice (mergers & acquisitions), providing financial support for buy-side, sell-side, carve-out and working capital analysis engagements in the manufacturing, consumer product, and software industries for both private equity and corporate clients. Here Mark provided assessment of quality of earnings, formulation of pro forma EBITDA, identification of key value drivers and evaluation of business forecasting.
In 2014, Mark founded Skeehan & Young, with the goal to assist non-profit and small business organizations through providing finance and accounting advisory services allowing organizations and businesses to more effectively and efficiently leverage their finance and accounting departments through assessment, analysis, training, and support.

She served on a multitude of engagements, including CIM Group, Wolff Urban Management, Northrop Grumman (benefit plans), Crowell Weedon, and Tutor Perini where she assisted and led in executing all phases of the audit process (planning, substantive testing, financial analyses and reviews, and compilation of financial statements).
In 2012, Monica began work at NBCUniversal in financial planning & analysis for their film headquarters group. She was responsible for monthly cash pacing & forecasting, performed quarter close analysis & reconciliations, and prepared & delivered financial presentations to senior management.
In 2014, Monica assisted Mark in founding Skeehan & Young.

Ben graduated from Michigan State University, with a Mathematics degree in 2012. Ben worked for the non-profit YMCA in the aquatics department for nine years, closing his tenure within the YMCA as an Aquatics Director at the YMCA of San Diego County’s Palomar branch. Ben joined the Skeehan & Young Team in 2016, where he has provided services ranging from accounts payable to complex financial modeling and pro forma analyses, and is currently leading non-profit engagements that aggregate over $20M of annual budgeted revenue.
Before joining S&Y in 2020, Alicia began her career in 2008 as an auditor at The Condon Group, Ltd., a CPA firm based in the south suburbs of Chicago. There she performed attestation services as well as bookkeeping, tax and valuation services to small businesses primarily within the construction, manufacturing and non-profit sectors. Alicia progressed her career as a staff accountant and financial analyst at Navistar International and moving into an accounting manager role at Bibby Financial Services. She most recently worked as a Finance Manager at Jones Lang Lasalle serving clients such as Bristol Myers Squibb and PepsiCo managing all budgets associated with their facilities, analyzing spend and identifying cost savings. Her background includes a wide variety of financial services including financial statement preparation, budget and forecast modeling, contract review, cash analysis and revenue recognition. Alicia’s experience within Fortune 500 companies as well as private businesses has allowed her to take part in project management, system conversions and process improvements identifying gaps and opportunities in current processes while implementing more efficient methodologies.
Sarah graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Accountancy in 2012. Sarah has ten years of experience working in corporate accounting, focusing on month-end reporting, financial analysis and managing year end audits. During those years, Sarah was recognized for creating multiple process improvement initiatives.
Since joining the firm in 2022, Sarah provides a wide variety of client services including financial statement generation and analysis, ledger maintenance, payroll processing, and more.
Maria graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business administration with an emphasis on Human Resources management in 2015 from Haigazian University in Beirut, Lebanon. She moved to the United States in 2016 and pursued her education in accounting achieved her CPA license in February of 2022. Prior to joining the Skeehan & Young team in 2020, she worked previously at an online retailer in client service and accounting support.
David graduated from Belhaven University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Accounting in 2015 followed shortly thereafter by graduating from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and the additional course requirements for a CPA. Prior to joining the Skeehan & Young team in 2022, he worked at Daxko for five years providing support and guidance to nonprofits implementing and using cloud-based SAS operational and accounting systems with a focus on member and client retention. He most recently worked at Daxko as a Senior Implementation Project Manager while spearheading a retention project securing $668K in ARR and creating a new team solely focused on retention.
